• The bearings of liquid oxygen turbopump are the core components of rocket engine fuel delivery system, which need to maintain stable operation under extreme low temperature (liquid oxygen temperature up to -183 ℃) and ultra high speed rotation (usually exceeding 20000 RPM) conditions. Traditional lubricants are prone to failure in liquid oxygen environments and require self-lubricating technology, such as cage materials based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or polyetheretherketone (PEEK), to avoid low-temperature embrittlement. Bearing materials need to balance low-temperature toughness and wear resistance. Silicon nitride (Si3N4) or zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic bearings are commonly used, or special alloy steels are combined with low-temperature heat treatment processes.
